You may get an additional charge for a transaction and it is usually due to one of the reasons below:

  1. International processing fee: These are charges imposed by your bank when you use your card to make a purchase or to transfer money in a foreign currency. These fees are typically a percentage of the transaction amount or a fixed fee, and they vary depending on your bank’s policies. BadioPay has no control over these charges, and we recommend reaching out to your bank for further clarification.
  2. Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC): This happens when your card’s local currency is different from the currency you chose to pay on the BadioPay. Your bank or payment processor will convert the card’s default currency to the currency you have requested to pay before releasing the funds. For example, using a USD card to pay GBP on the BadioPay. The exchange rate for this conversion is determined by your bank and this might attract an additional charge. To avoid this, we recommend paying with a card that uses the same currency as the one you are sending.

Please note that while we strive to provide a seamless remittance experience, fees imposed by banks are beyond our control. We recommend reviewing your bank’s fee structure and reaching out to them directly for further clarification on specific charges.
